“Alex Broad is an exceptionally talented editor – one of the best I’ve ever worked with. On the Hebrides Natural History series, he edited his programme with real panache – making sure that the very best material was included. He’s also a very accomplished story-teller and has a great ear for music.”
Alex is well known as one of the country’s finest editors. He trained at Scottish Screen sometime back in the early 90’s, then worked as Assistant Editor on a few feature films. He started editing for TV in about ’95 and hasn’t really stopped since! His mantlepiece sports 2 BAFTAs and numerous film festival awards! His editing skills have been used on a variety of subject matters including programs about gibbons, architecture, Bronze Age artefacts, celebrities (Simon Cowell, John Leslie, Marilyn Manson, Nigel Benn, Brian Harvey, Chris Evans to name but a few!), fishing, farming, the weather, prisons, India, music, Diana and the Paris crash, the troubles in Northern Ireland, the revolutions in Romania and Iran, and chickens!
